Biography
The person behind the mission
Christopher J. Ferguson was a U.S. Navy fighter pilot who flew three Space Shuttle missions. In 2011, he commanded STS-135, the final flight of the entire Space Shuttle program, closing out thirty years of Shuttle operations with a resupply mission to the International Space Station. Ferguson later joined Boeing, working on the development of its Starliner commercial crew spacecraft.
